Aims of the lesson: To be able to use the structure there are\there is, topical vocabulary,

adjectives describing places, to develop students’ imagination and

creative skills

My name is Asel. This is a fantasy island. I like to dream about it. I think it’s beautiful . It has high mountains, a beautiful beach and green forests. At night, when my room is dark, I close my eyes and dream about my island. I want to go there some day and build a house.

Kazakhstan is a large and beautiful country. There are many lakes, mountains, rivers, cliffs in the country. The capital of Kazakhstan is Astana. It is in the center of the country. There are many big cities in Kazakhstan. Almaty, Taraz and Shymkent are in the south. Almaty lies near the Alatay mountains. The river Big Almatinka flows from the mountains and runs through the city. Actay and Atyray are in the west in the Caspian region. Petropavlovsk is in the north. Pavlodar is in the East.
